Auf dem Weg zu einer theologischen Würdigung von Röm 13,1-7

Rom 13:1-7 is not the apostle Paul's »doctrine of state«. But neither is it an advice for the Roman Christians to avoid political turmoil. The text should be taken seriously as a theological reflection on power. Paul's arguments are influenced by his religious convictions as well as by the political and social circumstances in the Roman Empire.
