Comments on New Editions of the Hebrew Scriptures

This paper is based upon an oral commentary relating to the descriptions of five Hebrew Bible and related textual editions that are currently in preparation. In order to balance the remarks offered by Tov, chief attention is focussed on the edition of the Samaritan Pentateuch being prepared by S. Schorch and on the Biblia Qumranica under the direction of A. Lange.
