Beschreibung
The essay poses the question of the connection between talk about Jesus' resurrection and the biblical doctrine of God. Is there even a bridge from the early Christian confession of Jesus' resurrection to the later Trinitarian theology? The starting point is the early Christian metaphor of the »eighth day« as a symbol of Easter. The essay outlines the broad dimensions in which the New Testament statements about the resurrection of Jesus can be located (retrospectively, prospectively and in the present). The old confessional formulas of faith (pistis-formulas) show that the statements about the resurrection also include statements about God. Complementary to this are the statements about Jesus' exaltation to God. Both the statements about the resurrection and the exaltation of Jesus form building blocks for the later doctrine of the Trinity.
