Beschreibung
People in crisis situations such as a serious illness often report ambivalent feelings of weariness and satisfaction with life at the same time, both of which are described from the perspective of psychotherapy and palliative care. This ambivalence can also be found in Old Testament texts in which satisfaction with life can only be achieved through God's blessing. In welfare and social work, pastoral care and liturgy, this ambivalence is the focus of practical theological action and reflection: feeding and satiating are basic acts of faith-related care, for example in biographical narratives and the administering of the eucharistic sacrament to those who are ill.
