Summary
Following a history of research orientation on the anthropological approaches in philosophy, history and cultural studies (I), four central aspects of Old Testament anthropology are outlined: the human being is a creature without dualism of body and soul, but with a connection between the sphere of the body and the social-sphere; being human is »to be in relationship« (II). The final section gathers these considerations on the nature of creatureliness, corporeality, sociality and human relationality, profiling them as the essence of Old Testament anthropology in dialogue with philosophical and historical anthropology (III).
