Summary
The article aims to show that Pauline Christianity may be seen in typological perspective as a »conversionist religion«, and that Paul's theology provides the symbolic world for such a religion. Taking the ecclesiology, the doctrine of justification, and the eschatology of the deutero-Pauline letters as examples, it is then demonstrated how Pauline Christianity is transformed into a different pattern of religion, which can be assigned to the category of the »traditional religion".
