Summary
Two books were published in 2021 that, at first glance, could not be more contrary in terms of their content. Thomas A. Szlezák's Platon and Ernst A. Schmidt's Das Leere. That both books nevertheless have a connection regarding their subject matter will be shown in the following. This connection is even a kind of pivotal point of the present book review. In addition, the first German translation of Theon von Smyrna's Mathematics for the Reading of Plato will be presented.
