Die Orientierungshilfe der EKD zu Ehe und Familie aus der Perspektive einer heutigen Trauliturgie

In the summer of 2013, the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) published a briefing paper entitled »Between Autonomy and Dependence«, which has given rise to a very intense public debate on the theological positions taken in the paper. An interpretation of the briefing paper from a liturgical perspective provides striking evidence of the changes which have been made compared with previous doctrine formation in the Evangelical Church of Germany. It also brings to light a highly problematic shift in Protestant doctrine towards a conception of reality as being primarily a product of the social communication process, a product which is in principle arbitrary.
