Summary
The text referring to the land distribution of Zebulon is among the best preserved delineations of a border in Josh 13–19. According to the border description in Josh 19:10–14, the core territory of the tribe of Zebulon seems to have been restricted to the hills of Nazareth, with no access to the Jezreel Valley. The fringes described by the border line need not necessarily have been an integral part of Zebulon, but they were a kind of transition area. Accordingly, this area is the periphery of the tribal inheritance.
