Summary
The historian Heinrich Leo attended Hegel's Lectures on the Philosophy of World History in the Berlin-winter-semester of 1822/23. Initially, Leo published quotations from his Hegel notes on the occasion of a review of Christian Kapp's Das concrete Allgemeine der Weltgeschichte (1826). Kapp plagiarized major portions of his book from Hegel's Berlin lecture. Due to this trace, the entire manuscript of his lecture transcript could be discovered in Leo's estate (Nachlass) at the Halle University Library: A hitherto unknown manuscript, whose writer, moreover, is himself an important figure in the history of Hegelianism.
