Summary
Karl Barth has the reputation of disregarding the different religions or passing only negative judgements on them. Unpublished texts show that he intensely endeavoured to find a viable theological approach to other religions. This essay explores the possibilities and limits of a contemporary »theology of religions« which become visible in the light of Barth's theology.
