Summary
Life is shaped by natural and cosmic rhythms. However, cultural and technical developments have seen their temporal patterns replaced by the ticking of clocks and, more recently, superseded by computers. While this opens the way for economic growth, the resulting ecological and human problems cannot be overlooked. Time then for these »moved« times to be recalibrated. The Christian insight that time is a gift from God offers practical pointers in the form of evening prayers, the internet Sabbath, time of reflection before sacred celebrations, and the hospice movement.
