Summary
The article discusses Perry Schmid-Leukel's pluralistic theology of religion and the monistic tendency connected with it. This is already evident in the underlying relationship between theology and religion and then in his christology. The theological unity construct of a general concept of religion always takes the place of religion. In contrast, the concluding section of the article suggests a conception of theology open to pluralism, which drops a universal concept of religion and starts from the particularity and absoluteness of religions.
