Summary
This article explores the concept of law in various contexts. Specifically, it examines the role of law in Stoicism and the writings of the apostle Paul, focusing on their general 'philosophy of law' rather than specific laws. Traditionally, Stoicism is associated with philosophy and Paul with theology, but the article highlights how both integrate aspects of theology and philosophy in their understanding of law. The central question is what these texts reveal about the nature of law.
