Summary
Wolfgang Reinbold's interpretation of Mt 28:19 which uses the translation »teach« instead of »make disciples of«, not only fails because of the context, but can also be strongly objected to in light of its linguistic arguments. This article illuminates further special aspects of the use of μαητιενειν in this context and for the understanding of »mission".
