Summary
Germany and Poland have introduced new legal instruments in order to expedite court proceedings and limit damage to affected parties. These measures have not prevented further European Court of Human Rights rulings that the right to a trial within a reasonable time has been infringed. This conference volume delivers a critical view of the current situation along with suggestions for a solution compatible with the European Convention on Human Rights.
