Summary
This book can be said to present - next to The Constitution of Liberty - the most comprehensive treatment of Friedrich A. Hayek' wide ranging theoretical contributions. It covers Hayek's general social and legal philosophy of the foundations of social order, his theory of spontaneous order and of cultural evolution, his political economy of the market order, as well as his political philosophy of the institutional foundations of a free society and his analysis of contemporary democracy. Law, Legislation and Liberty was published originally in English in three separate volumes in 1973, 1976 and 1979. It is presented here in a new German translation by Monika Streissler in one volume.
