Summary
Volume 69 deals with the important themes of how the law handles past state injustices and how the process of coming to terms with the past is positioned between law, politics and historiography. Also scrutinised are the highly topical and diverse legal issues raised by the corona pandemic, which has seen not only the heftiest encroachment on fundamental rights since 1949, but also raises tricky questions about which state authority actually may or must act in what is de facto an emergency situation. As always, the Yearbook is rounded off by constitutional treatises and profiles remembering distinguished jurists.
