Summary
The anthropological terms in the Pauline Epistles are a perennial source of deliberation in New Testament scholarship. Manuel Nägele's study focuses on the hotly debated meaning of the word νοῦς (nous, gr. »mind"/"spirit«) by trying to clarify its semantics in Paul's Letters against the background of the lexeme's usage in contemporary literature and through discussion of its anthropological implications in Paul.
