Summary
The entire world wants values, and basic values are especially in demand. However values have their own logic, to which unworth and the worthless are essential. The increase and decrease in values and the revaluation of all values, at least as an utopian ideal, are part of this logic. The Christian faith contradicts this logic and the »tyranny of values« which arises from it, since the Christian faith is based on a truth which has its foundation in a life beyond worth and unworth. Eberhard Jüngel reflects on the valueless truth of the gospel and defines the relevance of the Christian faith for this day and age. The first edition of this volume was published by Chr. Kaiser in Munich. An index has been added to this second edition.
