The Herder Yearbook · Herder Jahrbuch is published every other year as the academic periodical of the International Herder Society / Internationale Herder-Gesellschaft (IHS). Central to the yearbook are contributions concerning Johann Gottfried Herder (1744– 1803), his writings, and intellectual endeavors. Alongside, the yearbook offers also articles that shed light on texts and contexts by Herder’s contemporaries. The editors furthermore welcome essays on the reception of Herder and his influence from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century. Moreover, each volume offers a periodic bibliography of primary and secondary literature on Herder. Reviews of recent scholarship on the aforementioned topics conclude each volume. The yearbook is open to current English and German research contributions from a variety of disciplines, including literature and linguistics, philosophy, theology, education, history, history of science and cultural studies. From volume 17 onwards, the Herder Yearbook will be published by Mohr Siebeck in print and open access.
