Ius Romanum

The Ius Romanum series was founded in 2014, primarily in order to provide an appealing home for selected academic treatises on Roman law. It is addressed to scholars and libraries in Germany and other countries whose focus is on the history of law. The series covers the entire field of ancient Roman law and its impact; however, it deals mainly with methodological subjects. The issues can be influenced by current law as well as by related disciplines such as history, philology and philosophy. In accordance with the manner of dealing with subjects in this academic discipline, the series places particular emphasis on the international scholarly discussion, and primarily the discussion in Italy.
