Themes and Forms in Graeco-Roman Literature

Edited by Thorsten Fögen, Markus Asper, Cynthia Damon, Francesca Schironi und Christian Tornau

The series Themes and Forms in Graeco-Roman Literature is dedicated to research on ancient literature in all its diversity. While it aims to meet this demand by focusing on the Greek and Roman texts handed down from ancient Greece to late antiquity, it also endeavours to publish research on less explored authors and genres whose literary character has so far not been recognised or only scantily acknowledged, for instance technical texts or those of Christian authors.
From a methodological point of view, Themes and Forms in Graeco-Roman Literature is characterised by a traditional philological approach, while also considering the findings of cultural studies, modern literary theory and gender studies.
The series is edited by an international group of established academics with their fingers on the pulse of current research, supported by an expert advisory board. Monographs and collected volumes, mostly in German or English, are welcome for publication. Manuscripts will be assessed by the editors, the advisory board and external peer reviewers.
