Ulrike Treusch analyzes the life and writings of Bernard of Waging and discusses his late medieval monastic theology. Bernard († 1472), Benedictine monk of Tegernsee, was one of the leading thinkers of the 15th century reform of Melk (Austria), which more than 100 Benedictine monasteries in Austria, Bavaria and Swabia followed until 1470.
