Mitarbeiter an der Universität des Saarlandes; 2011–15 Juniorprofessor für Öffentliches Recht und Internationales Steuerrecht an der Universität Osnabrück; 2015 Habilitation, dann Vertretung einer Professur an der Universität Osnabrück; seit 2017 dort Professor für Öffentliches Recht, Finanz- und Steuerrecht.
