Company law is particularly suited to promote both aspects, as it directly addresses companies as key players in the markets. Starting from the premise that a pure shareholder value orientation must be questioned, Anne-Christin Mittwoch examines which legislative instruments are available to promote corporate sustainability. One focus is the analysis of core concepts of corporate law that need to be re-evaluated in the light of the sustainability discourse.
